Part-time Jobs Survey Analysis

Part-time Jobs Survey Analysis

My research topic: Part-time jobs
Target: Japanese University students
Number of respondents: 16
Summary: Students answered 12 questions about part-time jobs.

Results

#1

Graph#1 shows that most respondents have experienced part-time jobs. In fact, 87.5% answered "yes" and 12.5% answered "no." These results are not very surprising given the situation of the students around me.

#2

Graph #2 shows that most people have two or more part-time jobs. It is surprising that about 45% of the respondents experienced three or more part-time jobs.

#3

Graph #3 shows that many people have experienced part-time work in food and beverage. Part-time jobs in retail and education also prove to be popular. This result seems reasonable.

#4

Graph 4 shows that many students work part-time for long hours. It is surprising that 18.8% of the respondents work more than 20 hours, which makes one worry that they may be working a little too much.

#5

Graph 5 shows that most people have part-time jobs on Saturdays. It is very interesting to note that most people work part-time jobs on Mondays during the weekdays. I can understand why they do not want to do part-time jobs on Thursdays.

#6

Listing 6 shows that respondents started part-time jobs at various times of the year. The results show that many of them started in May. It is surprising that someone is starting in 2019.

#7

Graph 7 shows that most people commute to their part-time jobs within 30 minutes. Those with a commute time of 20 minutes or less account for 80% of the total. Furthermore, all commute within 60 minutes.

#8

Graph 8 shows that most people consider part-time jobs to be normal or enjoyable. It is surprising that 20% of the respondents think that Max has an enjoyable job.

#9

Listing 9 shows the reasons why people think part-time jobs are fun or not fun in Q8. Not all answers are shown here, but there were a variety of reasons. It is evident that coworkers have an influence on their reasons.

#10

Listing 10 indicates the type of part-time job the respondent would like to do. There were a variety of responses, but restaurants and cafes were the most common.

#11

Listing 11 provides an opinion on the factors for choosing a part-time job. Not all answers are shown here, but there were a variety of reasons. Perspectives included money, proximity to home, and skills useful for the future.

#12

Listing 12 shows opinions on whether students should have part-time jobs. Not all answers are shown here, but there were a variety of reasons. There were two positions, "yes" or "it depends," but no negative opinions.

Conclusion

The survey revealed that many students had a variety of part-time job experiences. This is a good reference for those who are not sure what kind of part-time job to get or how much time they are spending around them in part-time jobs.
This survey may help those who want to hire part-time workers to understand the needs of students.
